After speaking to Fingal County Council, it has been brought to our attention that there is a high tide expected at 5pm on Saturday 27th June. Due to these facts being brought to our attention the VAI along with the Beach Commission have decided to bring forward the starting time for the tournament to 10am. This is due to the fact that we will have until 4.30pm to finish the tournament, the following changes are to be made to the layout of the tournament:

2. Players should be at Portmarnock Beach by no later than 9.30am and be ready to play for 10am - a conscious effort by all should be made to be at the venue early to help with the set up of nets etc especially the Dublin based players... as this will help in getting the tournament completed - a minimum of 10 players are needed to get the courts set up!
3. Due to a lot of players travelling from outside Dublin these players can be at the venue slightly later (10am - 10.30am) - but these players should stay at the end and help take the nets down.
4. Once teams register the VAI will split all teams into pools and send them out to the relevant teams - The pool stages will have all the Dublin based teams playing first and the Cork/Limerick teams will play at the latter end of the pool stages, this is to give these players time to get to Portmarnock.
5. All pool games are up to 15 points regardless of the number of teams - Please be aware that the Double Elimination Games may be shortened if we are behind time.
